Turning Creativity into Connection
Hey, I’m Casey Brew Kurec, a graphic designer based in Melbourne.
With a strong background in sales, communication, and customer service, I know how to craft visuals that connect with people and communicate effectively . My design approach is bold, clean, and vibrant—blending creativity with strategy to help brands stand out. I specialise in branding, visual identity, layout design, and motion graphics, with a particular love for working with small businesses, musicians, and creatives.
Beyond design, I’m a guitarist, comic book creator, and retro gaming enthusiast—passions that often find their way into my work. If you’re looking for a designer who gets your vision and brings it to life with impact, let’s chat!
MAKE IT MEAN SOMETHING

Riff Fist
In 2011, I co-founded Riff Fist with two longtime friends, and together we became a staple of Melbourne’s stoner rock scene. Over the years, we had the chance to tour parts of Europe, playing shows across Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland, including two unforgettable sets at Desertfest Berlin alongside some of our favourite bands.
After calling it a day in 2017, we reunited in early 2025 for a one-off reunion show in Melbourne—proof that the riffs never truly die. Pictured right is a poster I designed for the show.

Bog Monster
From 2019 to late 2022, I played guitar in the death/sludge/doom metal band Bog Mönster.
As a guitarist, my biggest strength has always been crafting the perfect tone. After dialling in the psychedelic fuzz of Riff Fist, I wanted to push things heavier—building what I hoped would be one of the heaviest guitar tones ever heard in a three-piece band. For Bog Mönster, I combined fuzz and distortion through two amplifiers, creating a sound that fused the crushing low-end of doom with the raw, chainsaw aggression of early ‘90s Swedish death metal. I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved sonically.

Squash Team
My love for comics started early—I still remember my dad taking me to the newsagent to pick up my first Phantom comic when I was five or six. But it was my mum randomly buying me a copy of 2000 AD ft. Judge Dredd in the early ’90s, that truly sparked my obsession. From there, I dove deep into comics, from Spider-Man and X-Men to indie gems like The Tick and Australia’s Bug & Stump.
As kids, my best friend Luke and I spent countless hours creating our own comics, filling notebooks with characters that often parodied the ones we loved. Sadly, Luke passed away when we were teenagers, and with him, my dream of making comics faded.
Years later, in 2017, I decided it was finally time to bring that dream to life. What started as a way to teach myself the design software I now use professionally turned into Squash Team—a comic series reviving some of the ridiculous characters Luke and I created as kids. Since then, I’ve completed three issues and a set of trading cards, with plans for a fourth issue and several other projects underway.
While I don’t have the polished skills of a professional comic artist, I love seeing my work improve from panel to panel. Unlike guitar, where progress can feel intangible, comic art provides a visible, rewarding sense of growth—one that keeps me coming back for more.
